When it comes to any project that involves modification and improvement on a piece of property, documentation is of the utmost importance. This is especially true for the solar industry that has an insane amount of files and photos that have to be managed by the company.

In the past, we have seen the sheer amount of documentation that our clients wanted and needed throughout the solar installation process and modeled Janus according to these needs. We recognize that each solar company and each city is different in their needs for documentation and therefore we modify the system accordingly for each of them.

For instance, a majority of our clients want to have before and after photos of the work both to show off their work, as well as protect them from unscrupulous home owners. For this reason, that is one of the default settings built into the system that requires photos be taken for exactly that purpose.

In the end, documentation can be made a requirement for anything you can imagine. Some clients want pictures of their safety clamps. Others want photos of the surrounding trees. All of this can be tweaked and modified to fit your workflow in Janus.

Furthermore, we made sure that in the field documentation is easy. We recognize the fact that some contractors and field workers are not tech savvy. This has helped shape the way that documentation photos and in field receipts are uploaded to the system.

In the end, we made sure that uploading a photo is as easy as uploading a photo to Facebook. We knew that this ease of use would make it very accessible and easily used.

It is as simple as taking a photo and then pressing upload! Once that is done, the documentation is saved within Janus specifically to that particular client’s project , making it extremely easy to locate if you ever need to.
